I've always been impressed with Erte's divine use of high contrast and his attention to clean lines. His black and white combinations with a few other colors thrown in as high lights always inspired me. What class! His work has influenced a lot of creative decisions I have made in the past. The color and contrast influence stands out in this piece, even though it looks nothing like his work in most other respects. The illusion of shinyness and curved lines at the top also reminds me of elements in his work.
